Mindy Crebbs
We Miss You and Will Always Love You
Melinda E. Crebbs, daughter of James A. & Linda L. Lizak Crebbs,
was born Mary 22, 1986, in Hollister, California, and died June 21,
2004, at St. Luke's Hospital, Kansas City, after an accident June 20,
2004, in Clinton. Melinda was a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary Post
1894, Clinton; girl Scouts of America; Tri-M Music Honor Society,
Clinton High School Marching Band, Concert Band, Jazz Band; Clinton
Community Band; FBLA; Northeast Baptist Church and assistant director
of the Clinton Middle School Band. She won numerous awards for playing
her trombone, as well as the John Phillip Souza Award and 14
scholarships for college. She was a website designer and a software
computer technician. She was enrolled for the 2004 fall semester at
Central Missouri State University as a music education major. She was
to be married to Keith Nathanel Cameron on July 18, 2004. Mindy was a
friend to everyone. She brightened up everyone's life and always wore a
big smile. Mindy had a passion for music that most would admire. She
touched many hearts in her 18 years. People will remember her for a
million wonderful reasons and we realize that Mindy was going places in
her life that some of us can only dream of. She is now heading in a
different direction and one might say a better one for her. She
couldn't have been more loved and needed by the ones who knew her. She
was a wonderful and loving daughter, sister, cousin, niece,
granddaughter, aunt, fiancee and friend. We will always hold a special
place for Melinda in our hearts. She will be missed and never
forgotten. She is survived by her parents, her maternal grandmother,
Lorraine Ratliff of Clinton; one sister Laura E. Lysinger and husband
James Sr. of Lowry City; one brother Zachary M. Crebbs, Clinton; nieces
and nephews, James E. Lysinger Jr. and Jena E. Lysinger of Lowry City,
and Celes M. Crebbs of Clinton; her fiancee, Keith N. Cameron of
Clinton; aunts and uncles, Diane M. and Dale Huffman of Clinton, Pamela
S. Morton of Houston, Texas, Melinda K. Miller of Kansas City, Deborah
E. Blanton of Liberty, Elizabeth and Edward Fellers of Overland Park,
Kansas, Robert Crebbs of Laplama, California, Kathy Crebbs of Cotati,
California; special cousins, David, Allene and Joseph Campbell, and 10
first cousins. Funeral services were held at the Northeast Baptist
Church Friday, June 25, at 10 a.m. with Rev. James Eager officiating.
Pallbearers were Zachary Michael Crebbs, James Edgar Lysinger Sr., Matt
Shields, Benjamin Henny, Michael Huey and Lawrence Wayne Simon. Burial
was in the Englewood Cemetery, Clinton, under the direction of
Vansant-Mills Funeral Home of Clinton.
